Answers about learning Arabic with Fasaha, including offline study, AI features, CEFR levels, privacy, subscriptions, and the free trial.
Does offline really mean offline?
Yes. After downloading content, core learning flows work without internet. Some features like AI analysis need a connection.
Can I actually practice speaking?
Yes. Guided scenes move from listening to a key expression, building the line, and role play. Feedback shows which words were captured and whether the line was complete, without pretending to diagnose every sound.
How do I know what level I am?
Fasaha organizes reading from A0 to C2. Start where you feel comfortable, use the placement guidance, and move levels whenever the material feels too easy or too demanding.
Is the AI actually useful?
Lens helps translate Arabic and break a word or sentence into useful pieces, including meanings, roots, and patterns where available. It is a learning aid, not a universal syntax tree.
Does spaced repetition actually work?
Yes. Spaced repetition schedules reviews over time to improve long‑term recall. Fasaha uses spaced repetition to help you revisit words efficiently and keep progress steady.
What's the daily learning like?
Every day you get a new Word of the Day (with root, pattern, and pronunciation) plus a proverb or idiom with cultural context. Activity rings track your reading, speaking, and review — they are there to show you what you did, not to punish you for a day off.
How do you handle privacy?
The website uses no analytics cookies. In the app we collect the minimum needed to run the service and improve learning, and the privacy policy is written to be read rather than skimmed past.

I cannot read the letters yet. Where do I start?
With the Reading Key. It teaches the letters, their four shapes and the vowel marks, and it works offline. The first stories at A0 use the letters you have just learned, with audio for every line.
I recite the Qurʾan but do not understand it. Will this help?
Yes. The dictionary shows every word’s root and family, so a word you know from recitation opens into the words built from it. Classical reading, including Al-Ājurrūmiyyah, sits beside the graded library.
I speak some Arabic but cannot read. Is this for me?
It was built for you. The graded library offers the same story at several levels, the vowel marks switch on and off, and everything is Modern Standard Arabic, so what you hear at home connects to what you read.
I speak Turkish, Uzbek, Russian or Spanish. Do I start from zero?
No. Each of those languages carries hundreds of Arabic words. The app and this site are in Turkish, Uzbek, Russian and Spanish, so explanations are in your language and the words you already know are the first ones you meet.
Will it help me read signs and menus?
Lens reads Arabic from the camera: menus, signs and pages become words you can open. On this page, the sign gallery shows how; on a phone, you can try the camera.
I want real texts, not drills.
The library reaches C2, the Arabic Wikipedia reader opens any article with the same tap-to-understand tools, and the classical works are read in the original with grammar records.
I quit a streak app. How is this different?
There are no streaks, gems or hearts. Progress is shown as evidence: the words you read, saved and recalled. Review is scheduled by memory, not by guilt.
